Get to know the photographer
Family, Wedding & Boudoir Photography
Photography isn't really like a job for me, it's a passion that I've been lucky enough to be able to chase. My main ethos for being your photographer is that I want you to feel like your best friend is taking the photos for you...that crazy, chill best friend who will whip out the banter and help you be your authentic self in front of the camera.
Life is filled with irreplaceable moments that can slip away with time. I’m here to help you capture them and keep them vivid.
I became a mum to my daughter when I was 29. I was a nurse in paediatric intensive care for a few years during my career and I always thought it would have helped me prepare to be a mum but...spoiler alert, I was just as lost as a lot of first time mums when she first arrived. Now my life revolves around toddler demands, Ms Rachel (IYKYK) and enjoying every special moment that life as a toddler mum brings. Motherhood has definitely helped me with my family and baby photography as I'm never too shy to pull out the silly faces and know almost every nursery rhyme to belt out to bring those smiles.
Motherhood has given me a special insight into one of the biggest plights of being a mum...we're generally the ones who take the photos and are mysteriously absent except from selfies. I'm here to change that for you and give you those precious memories with everyone included in the photos.
Photography has always been a passion of mine, even since I was wee! During my teenage years I was the one on the dance floor with the old faithful digital camera capturing all of those 2000's classics. While I was pursuing my nursing career I kept up with the photography, investing in a canon DSLR (I still have this 'vintage' piece on display these days) and I loved capturing whatever I could. After the pandemic, when I decided that maybe nursing had taken it out of me a bit, I listened to my gut and thought hard about starting a photography business. After a few years of lots, and lots, of family and friends supporting me and cheering me on I took the plunge and started my business in 2023. One of my biggest cheerleaders was my Grandad, a keen photographer himself, who I strive to make proud every day with what I do.
